ABOUT DJANE LADY SMILES
Lady Smiles is DJane, Compiler, Sound Consultant, Promoter and Radio Show Presenter from Vienna (but not at all a "Turntable Wizard"). A natural path because of being a music lover trough and trough already since her youth.
In 2000 she slides into Nu-Jazz, Headz n' Groove. Her affinity for delicious sounds raised up and results in a constant growing selection of own tunes and finally she took her first steps as DJane in winter 2005. She started to spoil the audience of well known Vienna locations like e.g. at: Cafe Leopold, Strandbar Herrmann, "Sand in the City" / Heumarkt, as at the Arcadium in Graz, at Baraki Bar in Greece and Rote Bar/Nuremberg (Germany). Furthermore the last 5 years she is djing regular at the H12 BAR / Style Hotel Vienna. To her clients full satisfaction, she also played at plenty of business events like e.g. JAM / fashion fair at Cologne, Vienna Airport AG / Badeschiff, VRMedien-Event / Kursalon Hübner, Hypo Bank NÖ / staff member event, Therme Bad Radkersburg / Latin night, Premiere party "Rocky Horror Show" / MQ Vienna, Munich Fabric Start / fashion fair and others...
Already several times Lady Smiles was invited to produce some groovy Radio guestmixes for the public listeners in Spain, Greece, Germany, Romania & USA, as she successfuly complited on the Soul Seduction Radio Days 2007. In 2008 she started to work as Sound Consultant for Wave Music and supported plenty of their CD-Compilation developments. Since May 2009 she's host of the monthly music magazine "Smiles Styles FOCUSED" on Radio Orange 94.0 FM / Vienna - presented by Lady Smiles & The Smooth Operator. Since March 2010 she's running another monthly radio show named "Lady Smiles swinging Nu-Jazz Xpress" on UK JAZZ RADIO.
During all her musical activities she launched her own company SMILES RECORDINGS in Dec. 2008. Her first pure proper compilation concept “BAR BUBBLES” was released by Holophon on the 1st of Oct. 2009 (pre-listen here!). Serving her interpretation of a seductive cocktail made of finest nu-jazzy grooves and rare tunes. Glide through the nights “smoothly”, delighted by this fourteen sparkling Bar Bubbles!
Her "CLUB COOKIES" compilation was released on 19th of Feb. 2010 by Holophon. This special “Cookie Box” shakes things up straight away and offers six “titbits” and six further irresistible beat seductions. Discerning House music discoveries from Italy’s newcomers, as two killer versions from Austria’s top-acts definitely would even grab the most motionless feet onto the dance floor, which remains boiling hot with the kick-ass coups from Germany's club league, followed by one spicy Spanish “Cookie” - “Play it loud! (pre-listen here!)
